Timeless homes, beautifully reimagined
Walsh Bourke Interiors began long before the studio was founded.
Growing up, Mary Brighid spent countless hours with her mother exploring antique shops, thumbing through shelter magazines, and touring historic homes. Those early experiences shaped a lasting appreciation for spaces with character - homes layered with history, craftsmanship, and a quiet sense of continuity.
However, her professional path started elsewhere. She earned a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and spent a decade in mental health research for the federal government, developing a deep understanding of how environments influence the way people feel, think, and live.

After receiving formal training in Interior Design and earning her stripes hands-on at an established design-build firm in the Pacific Northwest, Mary Brighid knew she was ready for her next chapter.
She founded Walsh Bourke Interiors in 2021 and has since made a name for herself working on the projects she loves most — those same historic homes she had admired alongside her mother so many years prior.
Today, Mary Brighid and her team’s work is characterized by a deep respect for the unique identities of her clients and their homes. Families feel warmth and connection as their most loved memories, pieces, and pastimes are woven into the very fabric of the home and its own history.
When she’s not designing, Mary Brighid can be found spending time with her husband, two children, and their Irish Doodle, Camden.
Eventually, design called her back.
Our work brings together creative direction and construction fluency, allowing the design to carry from concept to completion with authenticity, efficiency, and care.
